The New Chapter House

The New Chapter House

At the beginning of the year, as the colony started to double, a hunt for a suitable house was began. Led by the Alumni board, several properties were selected as potential opportunities. The search led to the house on Swiss Chalet. The house had previously been owned by another fraternal organization, and had been put up from sale.
With hard work from both the Alumni Board and the Active Chapter, a contract was signed by the Alumni Board to buy the property. As loan information is eagerly awaited by all, the Active Chapter and Alumni Board are excited about the future of the organization.

This Slideshow showcases only a few of the many amenities of the new house.

the new house is nothing short of fantastic! question – is bryan Huber an alum, formally of the bengals, now at the kc chiefs? also did the furnishings shown in the virtual tour come with the house?

Looks like a nice home away from home. I always appreciated our double houses at 520 and 526 Howell Avenue. I hope the members will respect this new home and treat it with the love and care it deserves to last for an extended time. Keep the colors light and cheery for those long and late nights when working on projects and preparing for crucial exams. My sincere congratulations.

Congratulations! It just didn’t seem like there was a fraternity without a chapter house. It looks like a great facility and in an excellent location. When do we take occupancy? I hope I’ll be able to stop by and see the place when I’m in town this summer.

Not sure how many of your questions have been answered but I will try to answer them all.
Br Tally- Kevin Huber works closely with Kicks for Kids, who was the benefactor of the event. He stopped by and took pictures with us and the winners.
Br Keith- We take occupancy on August 1. We hope that you will be able to come by and see our new home when you are in town.

Fantastic to have a house again.
I’m from the Howell Ave era. What an upgrade and convenient to campus.
Was this the Alpha Chi house in the 60s and 70s?

    • John Stratman says:

The house was the Alpha Chi Omega house. For us older brothers, look on pages 344 – 345 of the 1970 Cincinnatian (year book). This is a picture almost the same as that in winter 2015 addition of the Triangle Review.

Jim- Yes it was. There was actually some of their old composites and scrapbooks left in the basement storage room when we moved in.
